The Wolves wrestling program took on multiple teams over the weekend, competing at meets in Reno, Nevada and Kemmerer.
“The team we took to Reno competed well against some top tier competition. As a team we placed 22nd out of 106 teams,” head coach Josh Wisniewski said.
At the event, Tommy Dalton took eighth in his 132-pound bracket, which Wisniewski said featured very tough competition.
In Kemmerer, the boys improved as they wrestled at the meet. Jacob Cook took first place in the 126-pound division.
“We were aggressive, relentless and got after pins,” Wisniewski said of the weekend competitions. “We also did better job of fighting off our backs.”
With the winter break started, the wrestlers will have a few days of rest to spend time with their families, but will return to the practice mat to work on improving each day and preparing to compete.
