Green River Police Department reports for Dec. 11
At 7:47 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual causing a disturbance and assaulting an individual at the Buck’n Bar. The individual left prior to officer arrival, but during the attempt to locate the individual the individual returned to the bar. Officers located the individual who was acting disorderly and was intoxicated. Officers placed Michael Medved, 38, of Green River, under arrest for alleged public intoxication and interference with peace officer. Officers transported Medved to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
Dec. 12
At 10:35 a.m., officers responded to a report of a runaway. The juvenile, 15, was located and returned to their parent or guardian, and officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 2:02 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism on Idaho Street. Officers met with an individual who reported their vehicle had been egged. While on scene officers observed several other vehicles that had been egged. Officers contacted several vehicle owners and completed a report of the incidents.
Dec. 13
At 12:27 a.m., officers responded to a report of a juvenile runaway. Officers attempted to locate the juvenile, 15, but at the time of the report the juvenile had not been located. The case is still under investigation. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 4:21 a.m., officers responded to a report of a runaway. The juvenile, 15, was later located and officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
At 9:20 a.m., officers responded to a report of an individual causing a disturbance at the Sweetwater County Courthouse. Officers made contact with the individual and completed a report of the incident.
At 12:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Officers met with a city employee who reported finding a water faucet that had been turned on and left on dumping water onto the ground. Officers did not locate anybody in the area and completed a report of the incident.
At 2:31 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism at Schreck Enterprises. Officers met with an individual who reported their vehicle had been egged sometime in the last few nights. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 6:29 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of East Flaming Gorge Way and Uinta Drive and issued the driver Ryan Hoffman, 20, of Green River, a citation for alleged speeding.
At 8:50 p.m., officers responded to a report from an individual who reported a truck that was left in the middle of the road on Uinta Drive. Officers located the truck and met with the individuals. It was reported the truck had run out of gas and the driver had walked to the gas station. While on scene officers located drug paraphernalia and issued a citation to Tylor Stewart, 28, of Green River. Officers completed a report of the incident.
Dec. 14
At 8:20 a.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism on North 4th West Street. Officers met with the reporting party who advised their vehicles had been egged sometime during the night. Officers observed egg residue and egg shells on and around the vehicles and completed a report of the incident.
At 12:04 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two vehicle crash at Castle Rock Medical Center. Officers met with the reporting party who advised her vehicle had been backed into while parked in the parking lot. Officers observed the damage to the vehicle and issued the driver of the vehicle that backed into it, Carline Wilson, 87, of Green River, a citation for alleged improper backing.
At 1:17 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism on New York Lane. Officers spoke with the reporting party who advised her vehicle had been egged on two separate nights. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 4:29 p.m., officers responded to a report of damage to a vehicle at the intersection of West Flaming Gorge Way and North 7th West Street. The reporting party advised that while she was driving something hit her vehicle and caused damage to one of the windows on the vehicle. Officers investigated the incident and determined the damage was likely caused by a rock thrown from a passing vehicle’s tires. Officers completed a report of the incident.
Dec. 15
At 11:47 a.m., officers responded to a two vehicle crash on Scotts Bottom Road. One vehicle was traveling eastbound and attempted to maneuver a curve in the road but due to the snow and ice the vehicle was unable to do so and slid into a second vehicle which was traveling westbound. Officers met with the drivers of both vehicles and obtained their statements and observed the damage to both vehicles. The driver of vehicle one, Dusty Hackney, 26, of Rock Springs, was issued a citation for alleged speed too fast for conditions. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 4:02 p.m., officers responded to a report of property damage on Cumorah Way. Officers met with the reporting party who advised their vehicle had been damaged sometime the previous day. Officers observed a dent in the vehicle and completed a report of the incident.
At 9:48 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active arrest and hold order. Officers met with Probation and Parole agents and the individual, confirmed the warrant, and placed Tony Barnson, 37, of Green River, under arrest per the arrest and hold order, PC arrest for probation or parole violation. Officers transported Barnson to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
At 10:49 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active arrest and hold order. Officers met with Probation and Parole agents and the individual, confirmed the warrant, and placed Danny Winner, 38, of Green River, under arrest per the arrest and hold order, PC arrest for probation or parole violation. Officers transported Winner to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
Dec. 16
At 7:26 a.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle was traveling north on Apache Avenue approaching the intersection of Apache and Trail Drive when the vehicle lost control and slid down the roadway striking a garbage can and the rear of a second vehicle, which was parked unattended in the driveway of a residence, pushing the vehicle, then striking a mailbox. Officers issued the driver, 17, of Green River, a citation for alleged driving too fast for conditions. No injuries were reported.

At 12:11 p.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny at Maverik. Officers met with the manager who reported several individuals had come into the store, one of the individuals made a purchase and took another item, and believed the other individual concealed several items on their person, then left the store. Officers located the suspected individuals and the stolen property. Officers issued Nathaniel Lee, 24, of Rock Springs, and Anthony Bryson, 19, homeless, citations for alleged shoplifting, and issued trespass warnings for the property. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 8:42 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute. The parties were separated and officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
Dec. 17
At 12:03 a.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism on Mansface Street. Officers met with an individual who reported that they thought somebody was throwing rocks at their apartment window. Officers located the suspected individual and completed a report of the incident.
At 8:25 a.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle driving through a crosswalk while the crossing guard was still in the crosswalk on West Teton Boulevard. Officers met with the driver, issued a verbal warning, and completed a report of the incident.
At 9:46 a.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Hitching Post Drive. It was reported one vehicle was backing out of a parking space and struck a second vehicle. Officers issued the driver of the first vehicle, Benjamin Jorgensen, 18, of Green River, a citation for alleged inattentive driving and completed a report of the incident.
At 1:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at Green River High School. It was reported one vehicle was backing out of a parking space and struck a second vehicle. Officers issued the driver of the first vehicle, a juvenile, 16, a citation for alleged inattentive driving and completed a report of the incident.
At 9:37 p.m., officers responded to a report of a civil standby on Homestead Drive. Officers met with the individuals involved, conducted the civil standby, and completed a report of the incident.
At 9:37 p.m., officers while on a call ascertained one of the individuals had an outstanding warrant. Officers confirmed the warrant and placed Chad Gunter, 49, of Green River, under arrest per the active warrant. Officers transported Gunter to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
Dec. 18
At 12:26 p.m., officers responded to a report of individuals hunting on city property on Scotts Bottom Road. Officers observed the individuals and made contact. The individuals advised they had been duck hunting and showed officers where. It was determined they had been hunting outside of city limits. Officers issued verbal warnings and completed a report of the incident.
At 2:13 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at Green River High School. It was reported one vehicle was backing out of a parking space and struck a second vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident.
Dec. 19
At 11:07 a.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run collision. Officers met with an individual who reported their vehicle, which was parked on the north side of the roadway on Trail Drive, had been struck on the driver’s side front quarter panel of the vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 8:21 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism at Jackson Elementary School. Officers observed a door of the building that had been spray painted with graffiti and completed a report of the incident.
Dec. 20
At 7:59 a.m., School Resource Officers responded to a report of a student in possession of a suspected alcoholic beverage. Officers met with school administration, the students involved, and parents or guardians. Officers subsequently issued citations to a juvenile, 15, of Green River, for alleged use or possession of tobacco by a minor and underage possession of alcohol; and a juvenile, 14, of Green River, for alleged underage consumption. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 8:45 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Shoshone Avenue and Mountain View Street and issued the driver, Susan Lucero, 72, of Green River, a citation for alleged speeding school zone.
At 10:51 a.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at Mission at Castle Rock Rehabilitation Center and the Villa. It was reported one vehicle was traveling through the parking area and turned to pull into a parking space adjacent to a second vehicle, which was parked in a parking space, and the front passenger side of the first vehicle struck the rear driver’s side of the second vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 3:20 p.m., officers, along with an underage buyer, age 18, of Green River, conducted alcohol compliance checks on local establishments that sell alcoholic beverages. Officers issued a citation to Michael Wickham, 81, of Green River, for alleged sell or furnish alcohol to person younger than 21 and completed a report of the incident.
At 10:34 p.m., officers responded to a report of a noise complaint on Schultz Street. Officers met with the resident, advised of the loud music complaint, and completed a report of the incident.
