Green River Police Department reports for Sept. 7
At 12:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle on West Teton Boulevard. Officers contacted the owner and arrangements were made to have the vehicle moved. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 3:03 p.m., officers responded to the GRPD lobby to collect medications from the prescription drop off box. The medications were collected and booked in for destruction.
At 5:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny on Mansface Street. Officers met with an individual who reported a fuel can was taken off of their property. Officers completed a report of the incident.
Sept. 8
At 4:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats at the GRPD. Officers met with an individual that reported receiving a threatening phone call. Officers attempted to make contact with the caller and completed a report of the incident.
At 10:14 p.m., officers responded to a report of crying and/or moaning coming from an apartment on Upland Way. Officers heard the reported noises coming from the apartment, made contact with the resident and advised of the complaint. Officers completed a report of the incident.
Sept. 9
At 8:13 a.m., Animal Control Officers responded to a report of two dogs at large on West 4th Street. Officers impounded the dogs and subsequently issued the owner Jessica Dorsey, 42, of Green River, a citation for alleged animal at large.
At 12:23 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at Green River High School. It was reported a vehicle was parked in the parking area facing east and a second vehicle was pulling up the parking lane traveling south. As the first vehicle turned into the parking space next to the second vehicle, the front passenger side of the first vehicle struck the rear driver’s side of the second vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident. No citations were issued.
At 1:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a possible larceny on West Virginia Place. Officers met with an individual who reported an item missing from their vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 6:08 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported the driver of the first vehicle started and then exited the vehicle. They observed the vehicle, which was parked on the north side of 98 Uinta Drive, start to roll backwards towards a second vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied in a driveway of a residence on the northside of 98 Uinta Drive. The rear driver’s side bumper of the rolling vehicle struck the rear passenger side bumper of the parked vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident. No citations were issued.
At 6:11 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision. It was reported the vehicle was parked on the Scott’s Bottom Loop, and as the driver reversed the vehicle, the rear of the vehicle struck a large tree. Officers completed a report of the incident. No citations were issued.
At 7 p.m., officers responded to a report of a found bicycle on South Center Street. Officers collected the bicycle, booked it in for safekeeping, and completed a report of the incident.
Sept. 10
At 11:18 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Uinta Drive and issued a citation to Austin Cave, 26, of Green River, for alleged expired temporary license permit/improper registration.
Sept. 11
At 12:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of accidental damage at Smith’s Food and Drug. Officers met with an individual who reported a cart that was being blown around from the wind had struck their vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident.
Sept. 12
At 2:52 a.m., officers observed a vehicle that failed to maintain the lane of travel and struck the rear of a dump trailer at the intersection of West Flaming Gorge Way and North 3rd West Street. Officers met with the driver of the vehicle and detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the driver’s breath. Officers subsequently issued citations for alleged open container and DWUI - alcohol incapable of safely driving. Officers placed Jesse Austin, 41, of Green River, under arrest and transported Austin to the Sweetwater County Detention Center. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 5:49 a.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing at Sunshine Laundry. Officers met with the owner who requested to have an individual issued a trespass warning against them.

At 1:38 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at the Green River Recreation Center. It was reported one vehicle was parked facing north in the first parking aisle and a second vehicle was parked and unoccupied facing south in the parking aisle south of the first vehicle. As the first vehicle reversed south out of the parking space the rear passenger side of the vehicle struck the rear passenger side of the second vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 5:24 p.m., officers responded to a report of two individuals fighting at Vermont Court. Officer met with the individuals involved in an altercation. The involved parties were calm and officers did not observe any signs of a physical fight. Officers completed a report of the incident.
At 7:23 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with individuals involved in a verbal dispute. Officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
