Green River Police Department reports for July 19

At 11:23 a.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny on Cumorah Way. Officers met with the reporting party, who advised they believed a bicycle belonging to them had been stolen from their residence. Officers obtained a description of the bicycle and completed a report of the incident.

At 3:28 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision River View Drive. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they had backed into a low cement wall causing damage to the vehicle. Officers observed the damage and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Officers met with the individuals involved, who stated they had been involved in a verbal confrontation. The parties separated and officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 8:53 p.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary on Maryland Drive. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they had some tools taken from their garage. Officers investigated the scene and the reporting party was able to provide possible suspects. Officers were unable to locate the suspects at the time of the report. Officers completed a report of the incident, this incident is still under investigation.

At 9:11 p.m., officers responded to a report of a reckless driving incident in the area of Upland Way and Fawn Circle. The reporting party advised they had been driving south on Uinta Drive when they were approached by a vehicle with no headlights on. The reporting party stated they attempted to advise the driver to turn on their headlights when the vehicle began to enter the reporting party’s lane, which caused them to swerve to avoid collision. The driver later pulled over to inspect the vehicle for damage. While stopped, the suspect vehicle approached again and got close to striking the reporting party’s vehicle. Officers attempted to locate the suspect, but were unsuccessful. Officers completed a report of the incident.

July 20

At 11:18 a.m., officers responded to a report of found property. Officers located a bicycle that had been found at Stratton Myers Park, collected the bicycle for safekeeping and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:25 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Monroe Avenue and West Teton Boulevard and issued the driver, Erika Hill, 31, of Green River, a citation for an alleged obedience to traffic-control device violation.

July 21

At 6:37 a.m.,officers responded to a report of a larceny on Hitching Post Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported a bicycle was missing/stolen. Officers completed a report of the incident. 

At 10:10 a.m., officers responded to a report of fraud on West Teton Boulevard. Officers met with an individual who reported being scammed by another individual with monetary losses. Officers completed a report of the incident. The case is still under investigation.

At 8:18 p.m., officers responded to a report of a juvenile runaway. Officers met with an individual who reported a juvenile, 16, as a runaway. Officers later located, escorted, and turned the juvenile over to their parent. Officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 9:06 p.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary on Monroe Avenue. Officers met with an individual who reported items had been rummaged through and items were missing. Officers completed a report of the incident. The case is still under investigation.

July 22

At 5:05 a.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog complaint on East 2nd North Street. Officers made contact with the owner, advised of the complaint, and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:25 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in an altercation. The parties separated and officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 1:03 p.m., officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run collision on Commerce Drive. Officers met with an individual that reported finding damage to their vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 3:07 p.m., officers responded to a report of a nuisance property on South 5th West Street. Officers observed the property in violation and made contact with the resident. Officer issued a notice to abate and completed a report of the incident.

July 23

At 7:32 a.m., officers responded to a report of barking dogs on Schultz Street. Officers located the dogs and attempted to make contact with the resident. Officers posted a notice and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:22 a.m., officers responded to a report of a subject removal on Bridger Drive. Officers met with the property manager who reported an individual was harassing them and requested a trespass warning be issued. Officers made contact with the individual, issued the trespass warning, and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:55 a.m., officers responded to a report of lost property at Loaf N’ Jug on Uinta Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported a lost wallet. Officers were later notified the wallet had been found. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 1:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at Smith’s. It was reported one vehicle was backing out of a parking space and the rear passenger side of the vehicle struck the rear driver’s side of another vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle, William Cudney, 46, of Green River, was issued a citation for alleged inattentive driving with a crash. Officers completed a report of the incident.

July 24

At 10:41 a.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary on Andrews Street. Officers met with an individual who reported their wallet had been in their parked vehicle and it is now missing. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 3 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism at Smith’s Food and Drug. Officers met with an individual who reported finding damage to their vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 6:03 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in an altercation. The parties separated and officers completed a report of the incident. While on scene officers located drug paraphernalia and issued a citation for alleged possession of marijuana - plant form less than 3 ounces to Joseph James, 40, of Green River. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 10:04 p.m., officers observed a bicycle in the roadway near East Teton Boulevard and Monroe Avenue and collected it as found property.

July 25

At 1:22 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued the driver, Wayne Hester, 38, of Green River, citations for alleged driving while license suspended - second offense and failure to provide proof of liability insurance.

At 5:21 p.m., officers responded to a report of a missing juvenile. The juvenile was later located and was returned home with no further incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 5:17 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on East Flaming Gorge Way. It was reported one vehicle was backing out of a parking space when the rear driver’s side of the vehicle made contact with the front passenger side of another vehicle that was parked and unoccupied. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 6:34 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of East Flaming Gorge Way and Uinta Drive and issued the driver, Waleon Strange, 22, of Green River, a citation for valid certificate of title, certificate of registration, and license plates required violation.

July 26

At 2:33 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at the Uinta Drive Loaf N’ Jug. It was reported a vehicle was parked facing east and a second vehicle was entering the parking lot traveling north. As the second vehicle passed behind the first, the first vehicle began to reverse out of the parking spot and struck the passenger side of the second. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 5:02 p.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary on Wilson Street. Officers met with an individual who reported that someone stole approximately $4,000 worth of tools from an unlocked shed on their property. Officers completed a report of the incident.
