Forrest B. Estes, 62, of Kittanning, PA, formerly of Green River, WY passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Feb. 10, 1958 to Harvey and Dorothy (Peters) Estes.
Forrest was a member of Mt. Union Lutheran Church in Shelocta, PA. He retired from General Chemical Corp. in Wyoming where he worked as a liquor prep operator. While in Wyoming, he enjoyed prospecting and searching for gold. In 2000, after his retirement, he moved to Whitesburg, PA. Forest loved to camp, fish and was very talkative and could carry on a conversation with anyone. He will be lovingly remembered for his joking personality and positive attitude.
His memory will be cherished by his wife; Sherry L. (Schall) Estes, who he married on Dec. 22, 1996; his sons, Jason S. Estes and wife, Diane of Lyman, WY and Michael D. Estes and wife, Heidi of Conneaut, OH; a daughter, Amber Estes and companion, Nick Hensley of Green River, WY; a brother, Jhon Estes and wife, Jeannie of Lyman, WY; sisters, Katrina Lane of Page, AZ, Diane Powell of Vernal UT, Pam Grigg and husband, Gary of MT, and Mary Gregory and husband, Wade of ND; mother and father-in-law, Joan and Paul Schall of Ford City; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Forrest was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Katy Estes; brother, Clarence "Buster" Estes; and sisters, Janet Ledford and Cindy Estes.
A memorial will take place this summer.
