Danielle Niau Winegar

Danielle Niau Winegar, formerly from Las Vegas, Nevada and 15-year resident of Montgomery, AL, died on December 27th, 2020 at the Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery. Danielle was born on February 19th, 1976 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She was 44 years old.

Daniele Niau Winegar is survived by her husband, retired USAF Master Sergeant and current Montgomery Police Officer David Winegar, as well as her two sons Gage Silva and Xander Winegar. Her parents, Ermalinda M. Lovato of Colorado and Ralph T.A. Niau of Hawaii, as well as her maternal grandmother, Delmeria, also survive Danielle. Her five brothers and sisters, David, Amanda, Kimo, Keoni, Linde, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, are also Danielle's survivors.

Her loving son, Gage, is an Auburn University graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Her nine-year-old, Xander, is currently an excelling third grade student at Bear Magnet Exploration Center.

The entire community of Montgomery will feel this sudden loss. Danielle was intelligent, competitive, tenacious, hard-headed, hardworking, loving, and most of all kind. She was a beloved military wife who was able to keep her household strong during relocations and deployments. She was an incredible soccer and football mom who was the first to volunteer to take all the rowdy teenage boys to tournaments, and was still the loudest, most supportive cheerleader for the entire team.

Danielle was the birth mother to two, but the unofficial, adoptive mom to many others, opening her home to countless friends. She never took no for an answer when offering up home-cooked meals to any that entered her doors.

Danielle could not have shown more love to those around her, whether family, friends, or new acquaintances. She loved and was loved by all. Danielle Niau Winegar will be missed beyond what words can describe.
