Ray Curtis hugs another meal delivery volunteer outside Golden Hour Senior Center Wednesday afternoon. Curtis, who has volunteered for the service since retiring from Allied Chemical in 1992, is estimated to have delivered 52,416 meals to house-bound seniors in Green River. He went out on his final delivery run Wednesday after volunteers and GHSC staff thanked him for his service. Curtis said he has enjoyed spending the last 28 years delivering meals out of the senior center, saying he enjoyed working with people and meeting other residents. "We are going to miss him so much," Jackie Grubb, director of Golden Hour Senior Center, said.
