Lincoln Middle School students with the school's Wolfpack Dance Club performed in public Oct. 6. The Wolfpack Dance Team started the dance club last year. Following on that success, the team continued the club for seventh and eighth graders this year. Two high school dancers, Rayne Welch and Moriah Brice, choreograph the routines and then teach them to the middle school group. Coach Christine Peterson supervises the practices and performances as well as leading warm ups, stretching and technique. The team hopes the LMS dancers will be inspired to be a part of the high school dance team. They are able to build relationships with fellow teammates as well as with the high school dancers and coaches. They are also able to learn some foundational dance skills and learn how to memorize choreography and given the opportunity to showcase their talent by performing once at halftime for football and again at a girls basketball game.
