Despite struggles against Kelly Walsh, the Green River High School Tennis team swept Rock Springs and Natrona County last week.
The Wolves traveled to Rock Springs last Thursday to compete against the Tigers on their home courts. While the Tigers enjoyed the home court advantage, it ultimately didn’t serve them well as the boys and girls won all of their matchdes. That streak continued Friday against Natrona County High School when the Wolves, playing at home, went undefeated in boys and girls competition. It wouldn’t last however as Kelly Walsh, the second high school that visited Green River Friday, would offer the Wolves stiff competition, only dropping two of the 10 matches. The teams of Rocco Copollo and Korbin Arnelll and Kaylee Carson and Emmie Archibald were the only GRHS teams to see wins against Kelly Walsh.
The Wolves hosted Rock Springs Tuesday, but results were unavailable as of press time.

Green River at Rock Springs, Aug. 27
Singles 1: Gabrielle Heiser defeated Haylie Nandrup in two sets, 6-1 and 6-2. Caeden Grubb defeated Nico Woolsey in two sets, 6-2 and 6-0.
Singles 2: Megan Counts defeated Abbie Erramouspe in two sets, 6-1 and 6-2. Connor Friel defeated Jaxon Smith in two sets 6-1 and 6-3.
Doubles 1: Kaylee Carson and Emmie Archibald defeated Rikki Cozad and Karlie Nandrup in two sets, 6-1 and 7-5. Camden Nelson and Domenick Kunkle defeated Cole Meats and Tegan Conover in two sets, 6-1 and 6-2.
Doubles 2: Alicia Harrison and Kaydee Strauss defeated Allyson Turner and Keyleigh Hamblin in three sets, 6-1, 3-6 and 6-1. Braxton Cordova and Zach Friel defeated Brayden Davies and Adam Larson in two sets, 6-0 and 6-0.
Doubles 3: Kiley Strange and Ali Brown defeated Esther Bae and Isabella Rodriguez in two sets, 6-2 and 6-4. Rocco Copollo and Korbin Arnell defeated Landon Atkinson and Khrishan Sanarez in two sets, 6-0 and 7-6(7-5).
Natrona at Green River, Aug. 28
Singles 1: Heiser defeated Elena Galles in two sets, 6-0 and 6-0. Grubb defeated Max Radosevich in two sets, 6-1 and 6-0.
Singles 2: Harrison defeated Avery Olson in two sets, 6-1 and 6-2. Cordova defeated Bridger Meyers in two sets, 6-0 and 6-3.
Doubles 1: Carson and Archibald defeated Makayla Colling and Taylin Smith in two sets, 6-1 and 6-4. Nelson and Kunkle defeated Ryan Swan and Henry True in two sets, 6-1 and 7-6;
Doubles 2: Counts and Strauss defeated Brooklyn Hytrek and Sydney Rizzi in two sets, 6-0 and 6-2. C. Friel and Z. Friel defeated Kyler Syverson and Ethan Jones in two sets, 6-0 and 6-2.

Singles 1: Heiser was defeated by Finley Klinger in two sets, 1-6 and 0-6. GRubb was defeated by Austin Putnam in two sets, 2-6 and 2-6.
Singles 2: Counts was defeated by Lily Putnam in two sets 3-6 and 0-6. C. Friel was defeated by Jackson Catchpole in two sets 2-6 and 1-6.
Doubles 1: Carson and Archibald defeated Gabby Blumberg and Avery Strand in three sets, 6-2, 4-6 and 6-2. Nelson and Kunkle were defeated by Buck Harris and Drew Rasmussen in three sets, 6-3 3-6 and 4-6.
Doubles 2: Harrison and Strauss were defeated by Ava Allsop and Malan Wilson in two sets, 3-6 and 4-6. Z. Friel and Cordova were defeated by Alex Yakel and Parker Phillips in two sets, 3-6 and 5-7.
Doubles 3: Strange and Brown were defeated by Taylor Nokes and Bailey Collins i two sets, 3-6 and 3-6. Copollo and Arnell defeated Treydon Ward and Izaac Mamot in two sets, 6-2 and 6-4.
