Like Flaming Gorge Days and the non FFA and 4-H portions of the Sweetwater County Fair, the annual International Day celebration in Rock Springs was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The International Day Committee announced the postponement last week on the event’s website and through social media channels. The event has been rescheduled to take place July 10, 2021.
“We want to host the kind of celebration we can be proud of, but at the same time, we understand the current concerns about community health,” Philip Parnell, the committee’s chair person said. “We are grateful to all our volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and the community and can’t wait until we can get together again in celebration of this community and its history.”
International Day is a daylong celebration hosted at Bunning Park in July focusing on the city’s nickname of being “Home of 56 Nationalities.” The event features musical performances representing a variety of differing cultures and nations, as well as food and drink from around the world.
