The Wolves were on top at the end of a swim meet in Rock Springs over the weekend.
The Wolves scored 346 points by the end of the competition, securing a commanding lead over second-place Rock Springs, which scored 255 points. Evanston took third with 251 points, followed by Kemmerer with 194 points and Lyman with 121.
"I'm really pleased with the boys," head coach Colleen Seiloff said.
She said the team picked up two new state qualifiers in Kyle Kight and Devin Bobbitt, bringing the team total to nine qualifiers. She also said the team aims to have 15 qualifiers going to state.
"I don't think that's a goal that's not reachable," she said.
Overall, the Wolves had a lot of time drops throughout the competition.
Seiloff said she continues to be impressed by how the younger athletes are competing in the pool.
The team will travel to the eastern side of the state for competition at Cheyenne South Friday and Laramie Saturday. This will be the first time the team has travelled to Eastern Wyoming as a winter snowstorm cancelled plans to attend an earlier competition. Seiloff said the Wolves is excited to compete against the teams, saying she thinks competing against teams slightly better than they are will give them an extra push to improve.
"I know these guys will be competitive," she said.
