The Lady Wolves had a fantastic weekend at the Flaming Gorge Classic tournament, winning the four games they competed in.
The Green River High Shcool girls basketball team will have a chance to rest before taking part in the Taco John’s Invitational in Cheyenne in January. Their successes cap their first week of competition, playing at a tournament in Riverton, where the Lady Wolves went 2-2.
Heading into the Flaming Gorge Classic, head coach Rick Carroll said he wanted to work on several things with the girls, including their conditioning, something that would only improve with gameplay.
“Gameplay is more taxing than practice,” Carroll said.
During the Casper tournament, Carroll said his team played with a lot of energy at points and played good defense, but wanted to work on the team’s offence during the week between tournaments. Overall, he wanted his team to play more disciplined because players were being too loose with the ball.
