3rd player named All Conference
Two members of the Green River High School varsity football team were listed All State, according to information released by the Wyoming Coaches Association.
The two All-State selections are Thomas Harvey and Payton Tucker, while Sophomore Dylan Taylor joins the duo on the All-Conference list. Harvey was a defensive lineman, while Tucker played as a linebacker and Taylor served as a wide receiver for the team.
Tucker is the top defensive player in 3A football according to Wyopreps.com. Throughout the season, he accomplished 127 tackles, averaging 15.9 tackles per game. He also made two fumble recoveries, one interception and blocked one field-goal attempt.
Harvey, also a defensive player, earned 65 tackles in the season, averaging 8.1 tackles a game. He blocked two field-goal attempts and made one fumble recovery.
Taylor averaged 38.9 yards per game, completing 311 total yards. While he didn’t score a touchdown this year, Taylor received 23 passes.
For Harvey and Tucker, it was their last year as Wolves. They are two of 14 seniors who played for the team.
