The Green River High School cross country team had a chance to try the course set up for the State track meet in Afton Oct. 26 during the Wyoming State Preview over the weekend.
A total of 17 schools and 214 varsity runners competed in the event. Green River's harriers continued cutting time at this competition. Head cross country coach Craig Leavitt said the course looks fun and believes the team enjoyed running it.
He said junior Greg Sherwin cut time during the event, as did junior Evin Hansen. On the girls' side, Leavitt said Madison Yoak ran well, saying she continues to improve each week.
