Douglas Clay Jarvie, 91, passed away quietly at home in Provo, Utah on Sunday, August 18, 2019. Douglas was born December 21, 1927 in Rock Springs, WY to Thomas and Alice Jarvie. He married Eutona V Briggs of Manila, UT on May 5, 1951. He attended 1 year of Schooling at University of Utah and 2 Years at Utah State University. Douglas was employed at the Bureau of Reclamation and served in the U.S. army. Places of residence included Provo, Manila, Vernal, St. George, Elk Ridge, Morgan, Linwood, WY, Mountain View, WY, Green River, WY, and St. Anthony, ID.
Douglas's hobbies included Ranching and caring for sick animals. He had a strong devotion to family with a strong moral compass, patient with children, hard work ethic, and advocate for less fortunate, basically the worlds best example.
Jarvie is survived by his spouse, Eutona V. Jarvie; children Gilbert and Elaine Jarvie and Tammee and Gregg O'Neil; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and sibling, Pamela Jarvie.
Jarvie was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Alice Jarvie; grandparents, Tom and Nellie Jarvie; children, Gaylen Jarvie; and siblings Archie Jarvie, Nellie Jarvie, Ruth Jarvie, Alonzo Jarvie and Pamela Jarvie.
Funeral services took place at the Nelson Family Mortuary, 4780 N. University Ave. Provo. Interment will take place Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, at noon in the Manila City Cemetery, 460 N 4th E, Manila, Utah. To express condolences or to watch services via webcasting visit http://www.NelsonMortuary.com.
