Due to changes being made to where the Green River Star is being printed, starting next week, the Star will transition to a Thursday publication date.
“We’re making this change to accommodate for added shipping time needed between when the paper is printed and when we will receive it,” David Martin, publisher of the Green River Star, said.
The change in publication dates also reflects changes made to the Rock Springs Rocket Miner’s publication dates. The newspaper announced it would cease daily publication and printing in Rock Springs last month. For the past six years, the Star has been printed in Rock Springs. While the Star’s publication date will switch to Thursdays, deadlines for news, legals and advertising will remain the same.
“While weighing our printing options, our readers and customers were our top priority,” Martin said. “The last thing we wanted to do was to inconvenience them with drastically different deadlines to what they’ve become accustomed to.”
“Regardless of the change in publication date, our readers can expect the same great coverage and breaking news they’ve received from the Star,” Martin said.
