Josephine (Jo) Lowham Rudy (Munari)

Josephine (Jo) Lowham Rudy (Munari), 86, formerly of Green River, passed away Dec.6, 2018, at Lakeside Preserve Senior Living Facility in Lakewood, Colo.

Jo was born March 16, 1932, in Diamondville to the late Charles and Teresa (Dreu) Munari. She was one of seven children, three of whom preceded her in death, baby Charlie Munari, Jane (Jenny) Koscak and Lavina Currey. Josephine graduated from Kemmerer High School with the class of 1949 and married her high school sweetheart, John (Jack) Lowham, that same year. They had two daughters, Christine (Lowham) Hutchings and Cindy (Lowham) Majhanovich, and lived in Frontier until the family moved to Green River in 1963.

Jo was predeceased by her beloved husband of almost 40 years, Jack, in November 1988. In 1997, Jo was lucky enough to meet and marry a second kind and caring man, Ronald J. Rudy. They had 16 years together before Ron passed away in October 2013. Jo then moved to Colorado to be near her daughters and enjoyed an active lifestyle at the senior living facility, where she attended Colorado Rockies games, took day trips, shopped, and played bingo, among other activities.

Jo's heart was broken when her daughter, Cindy, passed away on July 25, 2018. She is survived by her daughter, Chris Hutchings of Denver and five grandchildren, Chauna Bingham and Lisa Bunning, both of Spokane, Wash.; Brian Majhanovich (Kayla) of Green River, and Tiffany Hutchings (Kraig Knoeferl) and Sasha Hutchings, both of Denver. Jo was proud to be a great-grandmother of seven, including two great-grandsons, Carson Majhanovich and Caeden Knoeferl, and five great-granddaughters, Madison Guillen, Jordan and Olivia Bunning, Adalyn Majhanovich and Colee Knoeferl. She is also survived by her brother, Anton (Winona) Munari of Laramie; two sisters, Caroline Nichols and Lillian Juvan of Kemmerer; as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews. A graveside service is planned for June 14 at 11 a.m., at the Kemmerer Cemetery in Kemmerer. A luncheon at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 60 McGovern Ave., in Kemmerer will follow.
