Prior to even entering the Mission at Castle Rock Rehabilitation Center, one could tell it was going to be busy.
Cars not only filled the CRRC's parking lot, but were parked on both sides of Uinta Drive and up Indian Hills Drive.
Inside, the center was packed with children and adults trying to get to the various activities, including a bunny tail toss, pin the tail on the bunny, cupcake walk, fishing booth and craft making. Children also had the opportunity to pose for photos with the Easter Bunny.
"This is probably the biggest turn out we've ever had for the Easter Carnival," Heidi Schuh, CRRC activities director and volunteer coordinator, said.
Schuh said people were arriving at least 10 minutes early and waiting for the event to start. Schuh thought some of the great turnout could be attributed to the nice weather and the fact that other Green River Easter events, such as egg hunts, had already taken place.
Schuh said some of the most popular activities children wanted to attend on Friday were the cupcake walk, the crafts and the fishing booth.
"What kids don't like cupcakes," she said.
