TATA employees donate to United Way

Employees of Tata Chemicals and United Steelworkers Local 15320 raised $65,446.41 for local community programs through the 2018 United Way of Southwest Wyoming workplace campaign. Tata Chemicals matched their donations dollar for dollar for a grand total donation of $130,892.82.

Proceeds raised support education, health and basic needs programs in Southwest Wyoming. United Way works to ensure that children are kindergarten ready and succeed in school, have access to healthcare and are able to provide every day needs.

In order to achieve its mission, United Way partners with various agencies throughout Sweetwater County. Current organizations that receive grants from United Way are “Life RU Ready?” Sweetwater County, Boys & Girls Club of Sweetwater County, Food Bank of Sweetwater County, Greater Wyoming Big Brothers Big Sisters, Sweetwater County Child Developmental Center, Social Emotional and Preschool, Sweetwater Family Resource Center, Family Independence and Family Visitation, Western Wyoming Reproductive Health, Young at Heart: Early Learning Center, In Home Services and Special Diet Meals and the YWCA: Financial Empowerment and Center for Families and Children.
