Kaylene McCrann

Kaylene McCrann, 57, passed away Feb. 13, 2019, at her home in Rock Springs, surrounded by her family. She was a resident of Rock Springs for the past 34 years and is a former resident of Campbell County. 

Kaylene was born Sept. 27, 1961, in Odessa, Texas, the daughter of Roland Kenneth Scott and Dorothy Alene Miller.

She attended schools in Gillette and was a 1979 graduate of the Campbell County High School. Kaylene also attended the University of Wyoming, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in education, as well as a master's degree in special education.

Kaylene married Terry F. McCrann Aug. 8, 1987, in Rock Springs at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. 

She worked as a teacher for Sweetwater County School District NO. 1 for 10 years, and later worked for Wyoming Work Force Services as a work force specialist for 11 years.

Kaylene was a member of New Life Ministries Church.

She was known for her witty sense of humor, and her devotion to her family, especially her children.

Kaylene enjoyed running, reading and spoiling her dogs.

Survivors include her father, Roland Kenneth Scott of Gillette; husband, Terry F. McCrann of Rock Springs; one son, Kyle McCrann of Rock Springs; two daughters, Lauryn McCrann of Rock Springs and Kristin McCrann of Rock Springs; four brothers, Wayne Pittman and wife Lorna of Gillette, Ed Pitman of Gillette, Randy Pittman and wife Roseann of Casper, Ken Scott and wife Beth of Gillette; one sister, Shannon Cubbon and husband Mark of Greeley, Colo .; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Alene Scott; and her in-laws, John and Jean McCrann.

Following cremation, a celebration of life will be conducted at 11 a.m., March 2, at New Life Ministries, 105 K Street in Rock Springs. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services.
