Billie Mattinson, 75, passed away Feb. 6, 2019, at her home in Green River. She was a lifelong resident of Sweetwater County.
Mattinson was born Aug. 22, 1943, in Park City, Utah, the daughter of William Brcko and Lillian Margaret Remitz.
She attended schools in Rock Springs and was a 1962 graduate of the Rock Springs High School.
Mattinson married Ralph Mattinson on July 2, 1968, in Rock Springs and they later divorced.
She was a homemaker for all of her life.
Mattinson enjoyed spending time with family, especially her cat Dinozzo. In her younger years, she was known for her love of beauty and fashion.
Survivors include one son; Neil Mattinson and partner Teya Stassinos of Rock Springs; two daughters, Karen McGinnis of Denver and Raelynn Reeder and husband Jeremiah of Rock Springs; six grandchildren, Lauren Mayer and husband Anthony, Nic Dziadosz and partner Kylie, Kevin Mattinson and wife Karlie, Trevor Mattinson, Darek Mattinson and Kinlee Mattinson; one great-grandchild, Aubree Mayer; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Sylvia Brcko; and one brother, Mark Brcko. Following cremation, a celebration of life will be conducted at 11 p.m., Saturday, at First United Methodist Church, 1515 Edgar Street, Rock Springs. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.
