Ruth Marie Chesnovar, 95, of Eden passed away Feb. 5, 2019, at the Sublette Center in Pinedale. A longtime resident of Farson, Chesnovar died of natural causes due to age.
She was born Oct. 15, 1923, in Rock Springs, the daughter of Fred Meyer and Allie Sims Meyer.
Chesnovar attended schools in Farson.
She married Rudy Chesnovar July 7, 1943, in Rock Springs and he preceded her in death Jan. 28, 1991.
Rudy and Ruth were ranchers and she was always involved in every aspect of the ranch.
Her interests included gardening, crocheting and embroidering. She was a lifetime member of the Farson Women's Club and spent many hours with her service to the community.
Survivors include two sons, Rudy Chesnovar Jr. of Eden and Robert Chesnovar and wife Leanne of Rock Springs; two daughters, Frances Young and husband Ron of Rock Springs and Bonnie Hueckstaedt and husband Rick of Eden; one brother, Jim Meyer and wife Jan of Woodscross, Utah; three sisters-in-law, Mary Rutledge of Roy, Utah, Louise Warpness of Farson and Claudie Meyer of Pinedale; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Rudy; four brothers, Bill, Ben, Robert and Kenneth Meyer; two sisters, Dorothy Meyer and Mildred Williams.
Funeral services took place Tuesday.
