Robert "Bob" L. Jensen, 84, of Rock Springs, passed away Feb. 8, 2019, at the Rocky Mountain Care Nursing Home in Evanston. A longtime resident of Rock Springs, Jensen died following a lengthy illness.
He was born Nov. 18, 1934, in Wayne, Neb., the son of Ivar C. and Anna H. Schroeder Jensen.
Jensen attended school in Wayne, Neb., and graduated from the Wayne High School in 1952.
He married Donnabelle M. Bourrett in Sioux City, Iowa Aug. 8, 1954, and she preceded him in death Sept. 8, 2013.
Jensen was employed as a sheet metal worker. He worked for the sheet metal worker's union for many years and retired in 1985.
He was a member of the Mount of Olives Lutheran Church, Shriners and the Masonic Lodge.
His interests were spending time with his family, wood working and was an avid Husker's football fan.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy Jensen of Casper and Donald Jensen and wife Sylvia of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two daughters, Lisa Hall and husband Walter and Trisha Hunt, all of Rock Springs; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; four brothers and one sister.
Cremation will take place and services will be announced at a later date.
