The Wolves wrestlers came home with an impressive first-place finish after competing in the Tiger Grizz Invitational in Idaho Falls, Idaho, over the weekend.
The Wolves scored 223 points during the tournament, edging out Columbia High School, which scored 222 and Kuna High School rounding out the top three with 201.5 points.
Other Wyoming schools competing in the tournament were Evanston High School, which finished 15th with 61 points and Jackson Hole High School, finishing 32nd with 8 points.
Individually, many wrestlers made impressive runs in their weight divisions.
Clayson Mele took second at 106 lbs., losing by decision in the championship match.
Dominic Martinez took first at 113 lbs., winning his final match by major decision. Nathan Campos, also competing at 113 lbs., finished fifth, winning the fifth-place match by decision.
At 120 lbs., Kade Flores took third, winning the third-place match by major decision.
Jacob Weipert took third at 132 lbs., winning his third-place match by fall.
At 138 lbs., Justin Flores took fourth, being defeated by decision in the third-place match.
Competing at 145 lbs., Garrett Harris took sixth, losing his fifth-place match in the ultimate tie-breaker.
Tanner Adam took second place at 152 lbs., losing in the championship match by decision.
Payton Tucker, competing at 182 lbs., finished second in his division, losing the championship match by fall.
