The High Desert Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution will host an open house in honor of their 15th anniversary Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Green River library from 1-3 p.m.
All charter members, current and past members and prospective members as well as the general public are invited to come. The DAR was founded in 1890 by order of Congress and is open to women who can prove a lineal descent from someone who served during the Revolutionary War. There are 10 Chapters in Wyoming with 540 members. The purpose of the DAR is historical preservation, patriotism and education. Contact 389-8480 for more information.
