A Green River man who admitted to excessively spanking his stepchild with a belt will have a felony child-abuse charge dismissed if he can complete probation.
Joshua Gautreaux, 30, appeared in the Third District Court of Judge Richard Lavery at a sentencing hearing to child abuse where he changed his plea to guilty, however the plea wasn’t entered.
