Seroni Lynn Carey, 47, of Rock Springs passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City. She had been a life time resident of Rock Springs.
She was born Feb. 27, 1971, in Rawlins, the daughter of Paul E. and Diana Finch Schmied.
Seroni attended school in Rock Springs and was a 1989 graduate of the Rock Springs High School.
She attended and graduated from Stevens-Henager College with a bachelor degree in accounting.
She married Jeff Carey in Rock Springs July 22, 2012.
Seroni was a member of the Church of Christ, she enjoyed spending time with her family, camping and being a Scentsy consultant.
Survivors include her husband Jeffery Carey of Rock Springs; her parents Paul and Diana Schmied of Rock Springs; one brother, PJ Schmied and wife Norene of Green River; one sister, Monica Arnell and husband Matt of Evanston; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Shaelee, her maternal grandparents Louis and Jennie Finch and her paternal grandparents Les and Mickey Schmied, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services took place.
Graveside services were conducted at Washington Park Cemetery in Encampment.
