Michael Dean Johnston, 61, passed away June 29, 2018, at Learning Services Specialists in Brain Injury Care of Lakewood, Colo., where he had been a resident for 30 years.
He was born July 13, 1956, in New Gulf, Texas, the son of William and Lily Johnston.
Mike worked for Texas Gulf near Green River as a miner.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, rock and fossil hunting.
Survivors include his daughter, Misty Johnston-Roberts and husband Nathan Roberts; two grandchildren, Addison Blue Roberts and Oliver Mansell Roberts, as well as close friends Bob and Marsha Tynsky.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather James Helms and brother Billy Johnston.
Mike was a loving, strong man that lived with a traumatic brain injury for half his life.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
