Judith Kay Pistono

Judith Kay Pistono passed away July 8, 2018, at her home in Green River. She was a lifelong resident of Green River.  

Judy was born July 8, 1945, in Rock Springs, the daughter of James Travis and Maxine King.

Pistono attended schools in Green River and was a 1963 graduate of Lincoln High School in Green River. 

Judy married Richard Pistono Sept. 3, 1966, in Green River. He preceded her in death Jan. 20, 2006.

She worked as a secretary for the Sweetwater County School District No. 2 for 25 years, retiring in 2004.

Pistono enjoyed camping, golfing, spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Troy Pistono and wife Danea of Green River, Paul Pistono and wife Lana of The Woodlands, Texas and Craig Pistono of Phoenix; brother in-law Robert "Chico" Pistono; sister in-law Linda Travis; five grandchildren, Brandon Hutchinson, Tiffany Guzman, April Shannon, Ellie Pistono and Payson Pistono; four great-grandchildren, Nathan Campos, Ethan Guzman, Brogan Shannon and Nixie Guzman; along with five nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Maxine Travis; husband of 40 years, Richard Pistono and brother James Travis Jr.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., July 17 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, at 900 Hitching Post Drive in Green River. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m., Monday at the church. Graveside services and interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
