All West closes GR office

Green River residents seeking face-to-face interaction when it comes to All West Communications services will have to go to Rock Springs from now on.

The Kamas, Utah-based company closed its office on East Flaming Gorge Way Tuesday morning. According to Vice President of Finance and HR Jenny Prescott, two part-time employees and one full-time employee was impacted by the decision. She said the three employees were offered severance packages.

“We have come to realize that this location would not allow us to do the things that we have planned in the Green River area,” Matthew Weller, president of All West Communications said in a press release. “We have purchased a new property that we will develop, but have decided to focus our initial investments into the plant delivering services to our customers to provide a great customer experience. This fall, we will begin major upgrades to be able to provide faster Internet speeds and a new TV service. Our walk-in office in Rock Springs will remain open, and customers can continue to reach us via phone or through email and use our website for payments or issues.”

Prescott said the new property Weller mentions is located at 61 North Second East St.

“We are looking forward to a great future in the Green River area,” Prescott said in an email.

All West announced its acquisition of Sweetwater Cable TV Company from the Carollo family Aug. 31, 2017.

In an article published in the Green River Star Sept. 6, 2017, Marty Carollo, said other companies had attempted to buy Sweetwater Cable’s assets over the years, saying his father decided to accept All West’s offer due to the company’s commitment to customer service and expertise in fiber-based telecommunications.
