Anyone driving along Shoshone Avenue, behind Lincoln Middle School, would have seen the appreciation of a sport being passed along to a new generation.
On a breezy Monday evening, a group of children were practicing baseball in a field near Wolves Stadium. A Little League team, the Royals, were busy both with batting and catching practice. While the kids get a chance to enjoy being outside, their parents also get something from the evening.
"Watching the kids outside, having fun, is my biggest pleasure out of it," Krista Buschelman, the mother of two players, said. "Watching them learning to work together is fun too."
Buschelman said she's happy to see the boys outside because many children enjoy playing with their electronic devices and gaming consoles and don't go outside.
