City hosts Frostbite run, walk Saturday

Residents are encouraged to get out and face the cold to participate in the Frostbite run and walk.

On Saturday, the city of Green River is hosting the Frostbite 5K, 10K and one-mile family fun run. Those who want to participate in the event must register and pay ahead of time at the website www.runnercard.com

“It’s just an extra thing we’re going to do,” recreation supervisor Katie Duncombe said about the fun run.

She said kids and parents can sign up to participate in the one-mile family fun run. Those participating in this run will go around Expedition Island’s loop track four times.
