Ae Ran Stockholm passed after a long battle with cancer Feb. 4, 2018, at her home in Pahoa, Hawaii.
She was born in Seoul, Korea Dec. 8, 1946.
She was the first female meat department manager in the western U.S. She liked to call all her male employees "hairy legged boys" and she could outwork all of them. She retired from the grocery world and started to "flip houses" on the north side of Green River. Her architectural touch and design flare turned derelict into divine.
She devoted her life to raising her two precious children, Tina Mansfield living in Laramie and Zachary Stockholm in McKinney, Texas. She rooted so hard for her children that all her love and enthusiasm will live on in her six wonderful grandchildren, Sabrina, Gabe, Olivia, Harper, Ben, and baby Aspen.
She loved, gardening, cooking, fishing, and remodeling. Her philosophy in life was, "just do right," and she walked the talk.
She is survived by the love of her life, Gary, her husband of 46 years, who resides in their home in Hawaii.
