Bennie Hayward Jr., 75, passed away Jan. 30, 2018, in Green River. He was a resident of Wyoming for the past 36 years and was a former resident of St. Joseph, Mo.
Hayward was born on Aug. 31, 1943, in St. Joseph, Mo., the son of Bennie Hayward Sr., and Verva Weiser.
He attended schools in Missouri.
Hayward served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed long drives, working on cars and the outdoors.
Hayward was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 2350.
Survivors include three sons; Nick Hayward of Green River, Shawn Hayward of St. Joseph, Mo., and Scott Hayward of Oklahoma; two daughters, Tina DeHaven and husband Kevin of St. Joseph, Mo., and Andrea Hayward and husband Jeffery Thomas of St. Joseph, Mo .; one sister, Shirley Morris of Kansas; several grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and special friends, Kevin Hanson and Shannon Lewis, both of Green River.
Hayward was preceded in death by his parents.
Following cremation a celebration of life will take place at 6 p.m., Feb. 8, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 2350, 88 North 2nd East St., in Green River.
