Jeffrey Miles McCurtain, 39, passed away Jan. 10, 2018, at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Rock Springs.
McCurtain was born May 20, 1978, in Rock Springs, the son of James Riley McCurtain and Roberta Lynn Miles.
He attended schools in Rock Springs and graduated from the Rock Springs High School with the class of 1997. He graduated with honors from Wyoming Automotive Tech.
His interests included the demolition derby, being a mechanic, playing with his bulldogs and spending time at the family cabin at Sylvan Bay at Freemont Lake. One of his greatest moments was taking first place at the demolition derby.
Survivors include his dad, James Riley McCurtain and wife Deyda of Rock Springs, mother Robbie Miles Boysen and her husband Haven of Cannon Falls, Minn .; two brothers, Shane Riley McCurtain and wife Diana of Rock Springs and Jay Zimmerman Miles of Washington, D.C .; paternal grandfather, Bill McCurtain of Rock Springs and maternal grandparents, Ray and Bev Miles of Casper; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Zachary McCurtain; paternal grandmother, Mame McCurtain and maternal grandmother, Linda Lee Irby.
Following cremation, a celebration of life will be conducted at 11 a.m., Jan. 27 at First Congregational Church, UCC, 1275 Adams Avenue in Rock Springs. Friends may call the church one hour prior to services.
