Kids enjoy Flaming Gorge Days events

For many Sweetwater County children and teens, Flaming Gorge Days brings a variety of activities to enjoy throughout the weekend.

The ever popular parade focused on bringing in "Back to the 80s" with all the neon colors, big hair and Pac-man references that come with it. Kids and their parents lined up along Uinta Drive Saturday morning to pick up candy, watch the floats and possibly get squirted by water guns. Other long-time activities as the three-on-three basketball tournament and dodgeball competition, attracted children as well. The basketball tournament featured youth competition Friday, giving kids the opportunity to show their ball skills on the court. Outside of competition, children's entertainment provided at Festival in the Park also was an attraction, with children able to play in inflatable castles and bounce houses, as well as an inflatable velcro wall kids could throw themselves onto.
