Darrell Powell Staley

Darrell Powell Staley, 89 years, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2017, in Evanston.

He was born April 16, 1928, in Coalville, Utah, to Claude Soloman Staley and Sybil Mellissa Powell Staley. His younger years were spent on the family ranch in Upton, Utah. He worked for Dessert Land and Livestock. Darrell retired from a long career as a supervisor with the Union Pacific Railroad. He enjoyed hunting, boating, snowmobiling, traveling and being with his family

On April 25, 1949, he married Lola Marie Clark in Ogden, Utah. After her death, he married Lena Oney.

He is survived by his children, Linda (Phil) Willoughby, Karen Goetz, LaWanna Staley, Barbara (Norm) Anderson, Terri (Jeff) Hockin, Darrin (Tammy) Staley, Suz (Kael) Jasperson, Rene (JD) Barnett, John Stocco and Jerry(Julie) Oney; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by both wives, Lola and Lena; two sons, Lee and Darrell Dee; a daughter, Tracey; his parents and all of his siblings.

Services will be 11 a.m., Friday at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston with a viewing starting at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Evanston City Cemetery.
