It’s a group representing both the cream of the crop in Green River High School athletics and many individuals who earned great success after their high school years. The school district’s athletics office now seeks recommendations to add to this prestigious group’s ranks.
The Green River High School Hall of Fame Committee seeks nominations for induction into the 2017 GRHS Hall-of-Fame.
According to a letter sent by athletics director Tony Beardsley, the committee doesn’t have a formal nomination process. Residents who wish to nominate someone to the committee can send a letter, email or fax to Beardsley. The deadline for nomination is April 18.
Inductees to the hall of fame include former mayors, entire high school teams, former district employees and many others. After the committee announces its selections for inclusion, inductees are honored during half time at a home football game and are treated to a special hall-of-fame banquet that weekend.
Those wishing to email their nomination to Beardsley can do so by sending it to beardsa1@swcsd2.org. Those choosing to fax their submission can fax it to the activities office by dialing 307-872-4759.
