Gene Moser, 91, of Rock Springs passed away March 9, 2017, at the Sage View Care Center. He had been a lifelong resident of Superior and Rock Springs.
Moser was born Nov. 9, 1925, in Superior, the son of Nick Moser and Maria Prada Moser.
He attended schools in Superior and graduated from the Superior High School.
Moser served in the United States Army during World War II.
He married Elizabeth “Liz” Flockhart Moser on Nov. 28, 1947, in Salt Lake City and she preceded him in death Jan. 2, 2010.
Moser was a coal miner for many years and later a trona miner at Stauffer Chemical for many years.
He was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community.
His interests included gardening, fishing, hunting and camping.
Survivors include one son, Chris Moser and one daughter, Jean Brunz both of Rock Springs; one brother, Carl Moser and wife Mary Lou of Star Valley; four grandchildren, Kevin Brunz and wife Tameal and Paul Brunz, all of Rock Springs, Jennifer Brunz and husband Nick Gatseos of Aurora, Colo., and Autumn of Boise, Idaho; great-grandchildren Melissa Brunz, Gena Gatseos, Pete Gatseos, and Aaliyah Brunz several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and an infant son Nicholas.
Cremation has taken place and graveside services and inurnment took place Wednesday.
