A vehicle drove into a Green River residence Friday morning.
According to a release from the Green River Police Department, officers and emergency responders were dispatched to the residence at 695 Evers Street at 10:13 a.m., Friday after a vehicle had driven into the home.
Four adults and a child were in the home when the crash occurred. Three of the adults and the child were transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County while the fourth adult drove their vehicle to the hospital. The extent of their injuries were unknown at the time the GRPD issued its statement. The driver of the vehicle, a 2005 Mazda SUV, also reported minor injuries.
The crash is under investigation and the GRPD has requested assistance from the Wyoming Highway Patrol's reconstruction team.
Update: An adult woman injured in the crash later died from her injuries. The GRPD did not release the woman's name. The driver of the vehicle, George Maestas, 68, of Green River, was arrested for alleged homicide by vehicle and alleged driving while under the influence causing serious bodily injury.
