Leisa Kay Butcher, 54, passed away Dec. 13, 2016 at the L.D.S. Hospital in Salt Lake City following a week long illness. She was a resident of Evanston for the past 15 years and former resident of Green River.
She was born March 16, 1962 in Rock Springs, the daughter of Jerald Butcher and Patricia Orme Butcher.
Butcher had many years of training at the Mountain Regional Services in Evanston.
She was a member of the Saint John's Episcopal Church.
Her interests included spending time with family, stuffed animals and balloons. Butcher also acquired a passion for food.
She is survived by her parents; one sister, Laurie Maciozek and husband Ron of Green River; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews Trent Gregory and Jerred Maciozek of Green River also survive.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents; four aunts, Betty Warne, Peggy Bonney, Maxine Yeager and Joyce Ward; six uncles, Geoff Orme, Glen Butcher, Norman Butcher, Don Butcher, David Butcher and Larry Butcher.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Episcopal Church in Green River. Inurnment will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
