Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Eastman

Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Eastman passed away Dec. 14, 2016, at her home in Green River after a long battle with cancer.

She was born Dec. 18, 1932, in Bozeman, Mont. She had been a resident of Green River for the past 43 years, and former resident of Pocatello, Idaho, for 13 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 2013, after 51 years of marriage; sisters, Jerry Cockran and Mertz Hodge, brother Jim Haggerty and parents Edward and Eva Haggerty.

Survivors include sons Dan Eastman of Salt Lake City; Jim and wife Josie Eastman of Green River; daughter Annette and Charles Cordier IV of Green River; grandchildren Mathew Eastman (Stephanie), Jennifer Whitten (Tommy), Kristen Frink (Jeff),

Aaron Eastman, Charles Cordier V, Vanessa Cordier, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth graduated from Saint Mary's Catholic High school in Bozeman, Mont., and worked at banks in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming.

She was a state champion archer in Idaho and Wyoming and spent most of her retirement enjoying camping, fishing and hunting rocks with her husband, especially digging for petrified wood, and making jewelry from the many rocks that they had found together.

Hobbies for many years, were gardening, puzzles and feeding her birds and squirrels.

Cremation has taken place, and there will be no services per her request.

The family will gather sometime next summer for a celebration of Bettys' and Dons' lives together, at the Blue Forest in Wyoming where they had spent many days digging for petrified wood.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Eskelson, Dr. Wakim, Hospice, nurses, staff and many friends that helped her along her journey.

The family asks that instead of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of Sweetwater County.
