Arlene Clark Demas Pecolar, 96, of Rock Springs, passed away Oct. 31, 2016 at Sage View Care Center.
A longtime resident of Rock Springs, Pecolar died following a lengthy illness.
She was born Aug. 27, 1920 in Lewiston, Idaho, the daughter of William M. and Lydia C. Barney Clark.
Pecolar was raised in Wyoming and Utah and had attended schools there.
She married Jim Demas in Evanston in 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1965. She later married Ray Pecolar and he preceded her in death in 1988.
She was the fourth daughter of seven children.
She did volunteer work for the elderly and needy. She loved spending time with her friends and neighbors.
Pecolar was employed as a server for the New Grand Cafe and the Sands for many years.
She is survived by one daughter, Lucille Demas Doak of Rock Springs; seven grandchildren, Kris Egan of Colestrip, Mont., Andrea Demas of Forsyth, Mont., Juli Michael of Rock Springs, James Doak and wife Christina of Salt Lake City, Mike Doak and wife Charlotte of Rock Springs, Jon "KC" Doak and wife Trudy of Green River, and Chris Doak and wife Veronica of Rock Springs; 15 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law Jeanne Demas; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Jim Demas in 1964 and second husband Ray Pecolar in 1988; two nephews and two nieces; one grandson, Joe Doak in 2003 and her one and only son, Jim Demas, in 2006.
Funeral services took place Monday.
