Fredrick Lee French, 71, of Rock Springs, passed away Oct. 8, 2016, at his home.
A longtime resident of Rock Springs and former resident of Superior, French died following a lengthy illness.
He was born on Aug. 12, 1945, in San Francisco, the son of James Lee and Cosby Harrison French.
French attended schools in Cheyenne.
He was employed as a crane operator for many years and was a member of Local 800 Operator Union.
French was a member of the Superior Baptist Church.
His interests were hot rods, riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles and collecting things.
Survivors include one son, Matt French and wife Starr of Rock Springs; one daughter, Charity French of Littleton, Colo .; two grandchildren, Nikalas Gaudin of Littleton, Colo., and Davan Claire French of Rock Springs; and five nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jimmy; and one sister, Caroline.
Following cremation, memorial services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Vase Funeral Chapel in Rock Springs.
