Nonpartisan filing for school boards and special districts started last week, attracting a few candidates for various board seats.
For the Sweetwater County School District No. 2 Board of Trustees, four candidates have filed, including two incumbents. The four will vie for four seats available on the board of trustees.
Brenda Roosa and, Steve Core have filed for re-election while Corina Tynsky and Mark Sanders have also filed to run.
Another board, representing Castle Rock Hospital District, will have three seats up for election in November. The county has not received any filings for those seats, though the hospital district reports one person has filed.
Lisa Robison filed to run for election on the hospital district’s board of trustees.
Residents interested in filing for election either to school district No. 2’s board of trustees or a special district have until Aug. 29 to file. Those interested in filing for the CRHD board must file at the medical center.
