Jeffrey Thomas Wharton

Jeffrey Thomas Wharton, born Sept. 5, 1956 in South Bend, Ind., died July 19, 2016 in Salt Lake City after a battle with a lengthy illness.

Wharton was a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend. He loved being a mechanic and being his own boss, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.  His favorite singer was Garth Brooks, he loved attending local area country concerts.

Thomas is survived by his three children, Jeffrey William and his wife Virginia Ann, Matthew Thomas and wife Jennifer Dee and Amber Lynne Pavlova and her husband Alex Valarovich Pavlova; grandchildren Taylor Kay, Landon Thomas, Parker Jett and David Alexavich; parents Ken and Adeline Wharton of South Bend, Ind.; and two brothers, Chris and George and his significant other Beth Pomeroy. Wharton is also survived by his significant other, Alice Marie Vorhies Linson.

Preceding him in death was his sister-in-law Jackie Wharton and her daughter Melissa Wharton.

A mass of Christian burial took place Tuesday.
