Allen Orris Davis died April 20, 2016 in Salt Lake City, at the University of Utah Medical Center after a long illness and fall in his home in Evanston.
He was born at home on the June 17, 1940 in Gregory’s Landing, Mo., to Russell Orris Davis and wife Alice Gale Smith-Davis.
Davis worked at Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne after graduating from high school in 1958 in Kahoka, Mo.
He went on to work in the oil fields of Wyoming for various companies and retired in 1980. Davis was a longtime resident of Green River and had moved to Evanston in 2013.
Davis is preceded in death by grandparents Edward William, Marie Davis, Enoch Allen and Blanche Smith; parents Russell Orris and Alice Gale Davis Pacheco; wife Rada Davis; siblings Dale Eugene Davis, Donald Gale Davis, Nancy Lulynn Lohman, Bessie Warren and various other extended family members.
He is survived by siblings Reda Warren, Alberta Reinard, Barbara Davis, Kookie Parvicini, Russell Edward Davis, Robert Hoerrman, Casey Moutrray, William Davis and Russell (Shorty) Davis Jr .; step-siblings Janet Lewis, Florence Hensley and Kathy Kelly; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
A memorial service for Davis will take place at the Pioneer Trails Park northwest of Green River Saturday 10 a.m to 2 p.m. There will be a pot-puck picnic in his memory to follow. All those who knew Davis are welcome to join in the celebration of his life and love of family and friends.
