Donna Jeanne Giovanini, 71, of Rock Springs, passed away July 1, 2016 at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City. She had been a long time resident of Rock Springs.
She was born Jan. 15, 1945 in Rock Springs, the daughter of William D. Chetterbock and Margaret Giovanini.
Giovanini attended schools in Rock Springs and was a Rock Springs High School graduate with the class of 1963.
She was employed as a legal secretary for many years, at Western Wyoming Community College and also for Our Lady of Snows in Reno, Nev.
Giovanini was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community.
Her interests were sewing, reading, word puzzles and watching the Spurs games. She also loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed music, loved to sing and play the piano.
Survivors include her sister Dorothy Bennett of Rock Springs; several cousins, nieces and nephews; her best friend Jackie Boyden; her cousin, who is her honorary sister and best friend, Janet James and husband Deane;
She was preceded in death by her brothers William, Michael, Paul and Louie Chetterbock; sisters Anne Hatfield, Sophie Nation, Emma Chetterbock who died at birth and her Godparents George and Lydia Giovanini; nephews Arthur Raymond Nations Jr. and Gregory Hatfield: great nephews Arthur Raymond Nation II.
Cremation will take place and memorial services are pending.

Cremation has taken place and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 A.M. Friday, July 29, 2016 at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 116 Broadway, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Inurnment will be at the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour pior to servicess.
