Michael Kay “Mike” Olsen, 73, of Jonesboro, Ark. passed away June 25, 2016, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He was born Jan. 19, 1943, in Ogden, Utah, to the late Moylen Kay and Helen Parker Olsen.
He and his wife Jessie owned and operated Jobert Paint and Decorating Center in Green River, for 30 years before retiring to Jonesboro, Ark.
He also owned and operated The Cell Store in Green River.
Olsen was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and just being outside. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and doing what he called “his job,” which was taking care of them.
Olson is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jessie Olsen; one son, Michael K. Olsen, Jr. Of Ogden, Utah; three daughters, Kymberly (Peter) Buttschardt of Ogden, Utah; Nikki (Jose) Marquez of Belvidere, Ill .; and Julie (Britt) Dortch of Jonesboro, Ark .; one brother, Bruce (Pamela) Olsen of Soddy Daisy, Tenn .; two sisters, Sheila (Clair) Langston of Leeds, Utah and Karen (Reed) Ferrin of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren, Abby Olsen, Logan Marquez, Will Madura, Jackson Buttschardt, Jordan, Dortch, Tristan Marquez, Alexandra Madura, Michael Olsen III, Philip Buttschardt, Lucas Buttschardt and Jenna Dortch.

A private family memorial service took place June 27.
