Amelia Lee Rettig passed peacefully in the arms of her loving parents June 24, 2016.
Amelia was born on May 23, 2016 in Goldsboro, N.C.
During her brief visit on earth, she enjoyed listening to her mother sing to her, cuddling with her lamb, and being held close by her parents. Amelia was able to grip her mother's finger and respond to her father's touch. She had a few wisps of blonde hair, her father's button nose and her mother's lovely face.
A service to celebrate Amelia's birth and life will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, at The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Goldsboro with Rev. Bill Rose and Chaplain Lt. Col. Tim Rosenthal officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday at the church prior to the service from 5:30-7 p.m.
Amelia is survived by her parents, Matthew and Carissa Rettig; grandparents, Kimberly May, Maurine Rettig, Melvin Rettig, and Gary Rust; great-grandparents, Sharon Rust and John Crangle; and her aunts and uncles, Shayla Dean, Tiffany Rust, Alex Rust, Major Rettig, and Margo Rettig.
